Hammond 1585H8D1 48-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, L5-15P

The 1585H8D1 is a 48-inch vertical basic power distribution unit with eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, built for IT, AV and electrical installers who need straightforward 15 A, 125 VAC power distribution down the side of a rack, cabinet or relay rack frame. All eight receptacles face the front, and the strip can also be laid horizontally on a workbench or test bench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly in a natural finish. The receptacles are 1 in. square and equally spaced over the length of the strip at 5.000 in. (127.00 mm) typical centres. An on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker are built into the unit for local control and overload protection.

Overall assembly length is 1231.09 mm (48.468 in.) with a 1224.28 mm (48.200 in.) extrusion length and a 41.05 mm (1.616 in.) profile width, and shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Power is supplied through an integral 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with a moulded NEMA L5-15P locking plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges and to installations where a twist-lock connection is preferred over a straight blade plug.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1585H8D1; additional hardware kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus recognised under UL File # E166039, UL Listed to Standard UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99, and it is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and manufactured in North America (country of origin CA). This model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.
