Hammond 1585H8C1 48" 8-Outlet 15A Vertical PDU, L5-15P Plug

The 1585H8C1 is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125 VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT, AV and telecom integrators who need straightforward, unmetered power distribution down the mounting rail of a rack or cabinet, and for facilities and OEM users who want a durable multi-outlet strip. Because of its low-profile slim design, it can also be used horizontally on a workbench.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly with a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Power is supplied through an integral 6 ft heavy-duty cord terminated in a NEMA L5-15P locking plug, so the connection resists accidental disconnection in moving racks and busy equipment rooms. An on/off rocker switch and a resettable circuit breaker are built into the strip for local control and overcurrent reset.

All eight outlets are on the front face (no rear outlets) and the 1" square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip. The drawing shows a body length of 1224.28 mm [48.200 in] and an overall assembly length of 1231.09 mm [48.468 in]. This model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade, and the outlets are not rotated.
