Hammond 1585H8A1 48-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1585H8A1 is a 48" vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need straightforward rack power distribution without metering or switching intelligence. All eight outlets face the front of the strip, and the unit can also be laid horizontally for use on a workbench or test bench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but lightweight. Receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced along the length of the strip, at 5.000 in (127.00 mm) typical centres. The strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with an overall assembly length of 48.472 in (1231.19 mm) on the drawing, and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). The finish is listed as Natural.

Power is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps and is supplied through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft, heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges. 1585H8A1 is the switched version of this size, fitted with an on/off rocker switch plus a resettable 15 A circuit breaker. This part number is not surge protected, not metered, not hospital grade, and does not use rotated outlets or a shielded cord.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip is CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Listed to UL1363 under UL file E166039, is cULus and TAA-compliant, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. Manufactured in North America.
