Hammond 1585H8A1BK 48" 8-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, Black

The 1585H8A1BK is a 48 inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM engineers and facilities teams that need straightforward single-phase power distribution inside a rack or cabinet, and its low-profile slim shape also lets it be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a black painted aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but lightweight body. The unit is fitted with an on/off rocker switch and a resettable circuit breaker, and power is supplied through an integral moulded-plug 6 ft cord. Series cord construction is heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in a NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. This version does not include surge protection and has no shielded cord, metering, hospital-grade receptacles or rotated outlets.

The strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm); the drawing shows an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] with the extrusion at 1224.28 mm [48.200 in], a body depth of 29.18 mm [1.149 in] and a profile height of 41.05 mm [1.616 in]. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, with all eight outlets facing the front. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The 1585H8A1BK is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL file E166039, is cULus and TAA-compliant, RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, and is made in Canada.
