Hammond 1585H16C1 48" Vertical Power Strip, 16 Outlets, L5-15P

The 1585H16C1 is a 48" vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with 16 NEMA 5-15R front-facing outlets, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is designed for IT, AV and electronics installers who need to distribute single-phase 120V power along the full height of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid out horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly in a natural finish. The receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, so multi-outlet loads such as power supplies and transformers can be spread out. The strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm); the drawing shows an overall extrusion length of 1224.28 mm [48.200 in], an assembly side length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] and a body width of 41.05 mm [1.616 in].

Power control and protection are built in: an ON/OFF power rocker switch at one end and a resettable circuit breaker. Input is a heavy duty 6 ft cord — 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges — terminated in an integral moulded NEMA L5-15P locking plug, which helps keep the connection secure in moving or high-vibration racks. This version of 1585H16C1 has no surge protection module.
