Hammond 15854T7A1 42-Inch 7-Outlet Vertical PDU With Pilot Light

The 15854T7A1 is a 42" vertical basic PDU (power outlet strip) with seven NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT, AV and electrical work where equipment inside a rack or cabinet needs a compact single-phase power distribution point, and the same slim strip can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly (shipping weight 3.5 lbs / 1.59 kg) in a natural finish. This version has no on-off switch; instead it uses a power indicator light plus a resettable circuit breaker, so you can confirm power at a glance and reset locally after an overload. Receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and all seven outlets face the front with none on the rear.

The strip body measures 42.00 in (1067 mm) nominal, with the drawing showing 42.200 in (1071.88 mm) and an overall assembly length of 42.472 in (1078.79 mm). Power is supplied by an integral heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, with a moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug suited to extreme temperature ranges.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 15854T7A1 for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus recognized against UL1363 (UL File # E166039) and CSA C22.2 standards, is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is manufactured in North America. Note that this model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.
