Hammond 15853T12A1 36-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 15853T12A1 is a 36-inch vertical basic PDU with 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 120 volts single-phase. It is built for IT, AV and telecom integrators, electricians and facilities teams who need straightforward rack power distribution without metering or switching per outlet. This version is supplied with a pilot light (power indicator); the equivalent part with an on-off rocker switch is 15853H12A1.

Construction is a low-profile slim design in rugged lightweight aluminum, finished in Natural. The 1" square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, so cords and wall-wart style supplies spread out along the rack upright rather than crowding a single area. Overall strip length is 36.00 in (914 mm), and shipping weight is 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg).

Power is fed by a heavy duty 14 gauge cord - 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges - with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. Cord length on 15853T12A1 is 6 ft. This part is not surge protected; surge-protected options are offered elsewhere in the 1585-6-7-8 Series.

A hardware mounting kit is included with each outlet strip for vertical mounting inside a rack or cabinet; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be used horizontally on a workbench.
