Hammond 15853H6B1 36in 6-Outlet 15A Vertical PDU, Rocker Switch

The 15853H6B1 is a 36-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with six NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is aimed at IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM builders and facilities teams who need straightforward, unmetered power distribution inside a rack or cabinet, or on a workbench when mounted horizontally.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but lightweight. The finish is natural (unpainted anodized aluminum). Receptacles are 1 in square and are equally spaced along the length of the strip, with a typical 5.000 in (127.00 mm) spacing on this 36 in model. All six outlets face the front; there are no rear-facing or rotated outlets.

Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. This version carries a 15 ft cord, an on/off rocker switch and a resettable circuit breaker. A pilot-light version of the same configuration is offered as 15853T6B1; 15853H6B1 is the switched variant. Surge protection is not included on this part, and it is not metered or hospital grade.
