Hammond 15852H8A1 24-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 15852H8A1 is a 24-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV, electrical and OEM users who need to distribute single-phase 120 V power inside a rack or cabinet, and its low-profile slim design also lets it be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion in a Natural finish, with ABS plastic end caps. The eight 1-inch square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip and all face the front (8 front outlets, 0 rear). Power control is handled by an on/off rocker switch plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. The matching pilot-light version of this configuration is 15852T8A1.

Power input is a 6 ft heavy-duty 14 gauge cord, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. This model is not surge protected, not metered, not hospital grade, and does not use rotated outlets or a shielded cord.

The strip body measures 601.98 mm [23.700 in] with an overall assembly length of 608.79 mm [23.968 in], a 41.05 mm [1.616 in] profile width and 29.18 mm [1.149 in] depth, and it ships at 2.25 lbs (1.02 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 15852H8A1; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit.

Approvals for this part include CSA Certified Standards C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Listed Standard UL1363 under UL file E166039, with cULus and TAA-compliant standards noted for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA.
