Hammond 1583W8B1BK 15A 8-Outlet Switched Rack PDU, 15 ft Cord

The 1583W8B1BK is a 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15A, with eight NEMA 5-15R rear outlets and eight lighted individual on/off power switches on the front. It is built for IT, AV, telecom and industrial users who need to control, reset or power-cycle rack-mounted devices at the receptacle level without unplugging cables, and who want to eliminate phantom power draw from idle equipment.

This model of the 1583-9W Series uses a heavy-duty housing finished in black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, so it stands up to long-term service in racks, cabinets and on benches. A resettable circuit breaker is built into the front panel for integrated circuit protection of the connected load.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 3.66 in (93 mm) deep, with a 18.320 in mounting flange span, 17.500 in hole centres and four 0.250 in x 0.375 in mounting slots for standard 19-inch rack rails. Four rubber feet are included so the 1583W8B1BK can also be used as a surface-mount strip on a workstation, test bench or shelf when rack mounting is not required. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
