Hammond 1589W8G1BKRR 20A 8-Outlet Switched Rack PDU, 15 ft Cord

The 1589W8G1BKRR is a 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) from the Hammond 1583-9W Series, rated 20A and fitted with eight individually switched NEMA 5-20R receptacles. It is built for IT, AV, telecom and industrial users who need outlet-level control of rack-mounted equipment — powering devices up or down, or power cycling them, without unplugging cables and without leaving gear drawing phantom power.

Each of the eight rear outlets has its own on/off power switch on the front, and a resettable circuit breaker provides integrated circuit protection to help safeguard connected devices from electrical overloads. Power is supplied through a captive 15 ft cord terminated in a straight-blade NEMA 5-20P plug, with 12/3 SJT cord used on 20A models — useful when the nearest receptacle is well away from the rack. The heavy-duty housing carries a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 3.66 in (93 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in mounting hole pattern and four 0.250 in x 0.375 in slots for fastening into a 19-inch rack or cabinet.
