Hammond 1583T8E1BK 10A 1U PDU, 8 Rear-Facing C13 Outlets

The 1583T8E1BK is a compact 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that provides eight IEC C13 outlets on the rear of the unit, making it suited to IT, networking, server, AV, broadcast, telecom, test and laboratory racks where power connections are made behind the equipment. Power enters through a rear-mounted IEC C14 inlet, so the appropriate regional input cord can be selected for the installation.

This version has no power switch; a power indicator light provides visual confirmation that the PDU is energized. An integrated resettable circuit breaker protects against accidental line overload. The unit is finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat, which meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high x 19.00 in (483 mm) wide x 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in mounting hole spacing across the rack ears for direct installation in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Outlets are arranged along the back panel, all eight facing the rear; there are no front-facing outlets on the 1583T8E1BK.

Electrically, the PDU is rated 100-240VAC by TÜV and 120-240VAC by UL, 10A, 50/60Hz for single-phase distribution. It is cULus Listed to UL 62368-1 (2nd Edition), 2014-12-01 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 62368-1-14 (2nd Edition), TÜV-SUD Certified to EN 62368-1:2020/A11:2020 and IEC 62368-1:2018, and TÜV-SUD tested for EMC compliance to EN 55032:2015+A11:2020 (CISPR 32:2015+A1:2019) and EN 55035:2017+A11:2020 (CISPR 35:2016). It meets applicable CE Low Voltage and EMC Directive requirements and applicable UKCA Electrical Equipment Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility requirements, is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement, and is manufactured in Canada.
