Hammond 1583T8B1 1U 8-Outlet 15A Rack Mount Power Strip

The 1583T8B1 is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15 A at 120 VAC, built for distributing single-phase power to equipment mounted in a rack or cabinet. All eight NEMA 5-15R outlets face the rear of the unit, so cabling stays behind the equipment and out of the working area at the front of the rack.

Instead of a rocker switch, this version uses a red power indicator (pilot) light to confirm that power is present, and a resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. Power is supplied through a 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. This part number is not surge protected, not metered, does not use a shielded cord, and has standard (non-rotated) outlet orientation.

Construction is painted steel finished in ASA 61 grey on both the front and back, a powder coat finish that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide by 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high by 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, with rack mounting slots on 17.500 in (444.50 mm) centres for standard 19-inch EIA rack rails.
