Hammond 1583T6D1BKX 1U 6-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, Locking Power Cord

The 1583T6D1BKX is a 1U, 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15 A at 120 VAC with six NEMA 5-15R receptacles. It is intended for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial users who need straightforward, code-recognized power distribution inside a 19-inch rack or cabinet without the cost or complexity of a managed PDU. This version uses a red power indicator light (pilot light) rather than an on/off rocker switch, so connected loads stay energized whenever the strip is plugged in.

Power is supplied by a 15 ft heavy-duty cord - 14/3 SJT type wire for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug; the part drawing shows a 15 ft locking NEMA L5-15P cord. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker on the panel guards against accidental overload, and the pilot light gives a quick visual confirmation that the strip is live.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, finished in black. The overall assembly measures 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide by 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high by 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, with 17.500 in (444.50 mm) between mounting slot centers for standard 19-inch rack rails. Shipping weight is 4.48 lbs (2.03 kg).

The 1583 series powder coat finish complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality, and the 1583T6D1BKX is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA.
