The 1583T6C1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15 A at 120 VAC with six NEMA 5-15R receptacles. It is intended for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial users who need straightforward, non-metered power distribution inside a 19-inch rack or cabinet without giving up more than one rack unit of space.

This version of the 1583 Series uses a red power indicator light (pilot light) rather than an illuminated on/off rocker switch, so connected equipment stays live whenever the strip is plugged in. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload, and the heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with integral moulded plug is specified for extreme temperature ranges.
