Hammond 1583T6A1 1U 15A Rack PDU, 6 Rear 5-15R Outlets, Gray

The 1583T6A1 is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial users who need straightforward power distribution inside a rack or cabinet. All six NEMA 5-15R receptacles face the rear of the unit, so patch cords and equipment power leads stay behind the rack and out of the working area at the front.

Instead of a rocker switch, this version carries a red power indicator (pilot) light, giving a quick visual confirmation that the strip is live. A resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload. The attached 6 ft cord is heavy-duty 14/3 SJT type, rated for extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

Construction is painted steel finished in ASA 61 gray powder coat on both the front and back, a finish that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (43.64 mm) high, 19.00 in (482.60 mm) wide and 2.66 in (67.58 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg). The 19-inch panel width lets 1583T6A1 mount directly to standard EIA 19-inch rack rails in a single rack unit of space.

The unit is cRUus recognized and CSA certified, listed under UL file E166039 to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 standards, and it is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, and manufactured in North America. This configuration is supplied without surge protection, shielded cord, ammeter or rotated outlets.
