Hammond 1583H8C1BKX 1U 8-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, Locking L5-15P Cord

The 1583H8C1BKX is a 1U, 19-inch rack mount basic PDU rated 15A at 120 VAC, built for IT, AV and industrial racks that need straightforward single-phase power distribution. It carries eight NEMA 5-15R outlets split two on the front and six on the rear, so you can feed rear-mounted equipment while keeping two accessible receptacles at the face of the rack for test gear, laptops or temporary loads.

Power is controlled by an illuminated on/off rocker switch, and a 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is included to guard against accidental overload. The attached 6 ft cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded NEMA L5-15P locking plug, which resists accidental disconnection in mobile racks and busy equipment rooms. This unit is not metered, not surge protected, does not use a shielded cord, and is not hospital grade.

The chassis measures 1.72" high x 19.00" wide x 2.66" deep for horizontal 1U installation in a standard 19" rack, and ships at 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg). The finish is black powder coat (RAL9005 black or ASA61 gray powder coat is used across the series), which complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.

1583H8C1BKX is UL/cUL recognized to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 and CSA C22.2 No. 0.4-04 under UL file E166039, is cRUus and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. It is manufactured in North America (country of origin CA).
