Hammond 1583H6B1BKX 1U 6-Outlet Front and Rear Rack PDU, 15A

The 1583H6B1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A at 120 VAC, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial cabinets where equipment needs to be fed from both sides of the rack. It provides six NEMA 5-15R outlets split two on the front and four on the rear, so patch-panel side accessories and rear-mounted gear can both be powered from a single rack unit.

Power comes in through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug on a heavy-duty 15 ft cord — 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type, suitable for extreme temperature ranges. A lighted on/off rocker power switch gives local control of the strip, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. This version has no surge module, no ammeter, no shielded cord and no rotated outlets.

The chassis measures 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide by 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high by 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, with front and back panels in black painted steel. The series is finished in RAL9005 black or ASA61 gray powder coat that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality; 1583H6B1BKX is the black version. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
