Hammond 1582T6D1SBK 1U 6-Outlet Surge PDU, L5-15P 15 ft Cord

The 1582T6D1SBK is a 1U horizontal rack-mount basic PDU for 19" racks and cabinets, designed to distribute single-phase 125 V, 15 A power from the front of the unit. It is intended for IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment cords land at the front of a rack and where added transient voltage suppression is wanted at the outlet.

Six front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets are provided, with no rear outlets. An illuminated red power indicator light confirms the strip is energized, and an integral resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. The surge module in this version carries a green indicator light that confirms the module is active; at the end of the module's useful life internal protection disconnects the surge module and extinguishes the green light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Power is supplied through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug. This part number is built with a 15 ft cord terminated in a locking NEMA L5-15P plug. Outlets are not rotated on 1582T6D1SBK. Overall dimensions are 1.72" (44 mm) high by 19.00" (483 mm) wide by 2.66" (68 mm) deep, with four 0.250" x 0.375" mounting slots for 1U 19" rackmount installation. Shipping weight is 3.7 lbs (1.68 kg).

The unit is finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. It is cRUus recognized to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 & No. 269.4-17 for Surge Protective Devices – Type 3 & Type 4, and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18 for Relocatable Power Taps & Multi Outlet Assemblies (UL File #E166039). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
