Hammond 1582T6C1BK 1U 6-Outlet 15A PDU, L5-15P Locking Cord

The 1582T6C1BK is a horizontal rack mount basic PDU from Hammond's 1582 Series, built for 1U installation in a 19" rack or cabinet. It distributes single-phase 125 VAC power through six front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, making it suited to IT, AV and OEM installations where cords need to be plugged and traced from the front of the rack. There are no rear outlets on this model — all six receptacles face front.

This version uses the "T" configuration: no on/off switch, with a red power indicator (pilot) light instead, plus a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker to guard against accidental overload. Power is supplied by a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type cord with an integral moulded plug rated for extreme temperature ranges; the series ordering table and the part drawing specify a 6 ft cord terminated in a NEMA L5-15P locking plug (the part's long description notes "6 ft. cord - T Lock").

Construction is painted steel, front and back, finished in black. The 1582 Series powder coat finishes comply with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
