Hammond 1582H8B1BK 1U 15A 8-Outlet Black Rack PDU, 15 ft Cord

The 1582H8B1BK is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU that distributes single-phase 15A power from the front of the unit. With eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles all facing forward and no rear outlets, it suits IT, AV and OEM installations where patch panels, switches, amplifiers or test equipment are cabled from the front of the rack.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, in a textured black finish; the 1582 Series powder coat complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Power is supplied through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug — on this part number a 15 ft cord terminating in a straight-blade NEMA 5-15P. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the strip, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, occupying a single rack unit in a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet. Shipping weight is 4.2 lbs (1.91 kg).

This model is a basic PDU: it does not include surge protection, local amp metering or rotated outlet spacing, and it is not hospital grade. The cord is unshielded.
