Hammond 1582H6B1BK 1U 15A Rack PDU, 6 Front 5-15R Outlets

The 1582H6B1BK is a basic horizontal rack mount power distribution unit built for IT, AV and industrial racks that need straightforward 120/125 VAC power at the front of the cabinet. It occupies 1U of 19" rack space and presents six NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front panel, with no rear outlets, so cords stay within easy reach of patch panels, switches, amplifiers and test equipment.

The chassis is painted steel, black on both the front and the back, matching black rack and cabinet hardware. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg). Power is supplied through a 15 ft heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, rated for extreme temperature ranges.

Control and protection are built in: a lighted on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker to guard against accidental overload. This version of the 1582 series is not surge protected, not locally metered, has no rotated outlet spacing and is not hospital grade.
