The 1582H6B1 is a 1U horizontal 19" rack mount basic power distribution unit with six front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 A at 120 VAC. It is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need simple, front-accessible power distribution inside a 19" rack, cabinet or open frame relay rack, where equipment cords are dressed to the front of the unit.
Power is supplied through an integral 15 ft cord terminated in a straight-blade NEMA 5-15P plug. The cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug. A lighted on/off rocker switch controls the outlets, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker helps prevent accidental overload. All six outlets are on the front; there are no rear outlets, and this model is supplied without surge protection, without an ammeter and without rotated outlets.
Construction is painted steel, finished front and back in ASA 61 grey. The powder coat finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in mounting hole span on the rack flanges, and shipping weight is 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg).
