Hammond 1582H6A1SBK 1U Surge-Protected 6-Outlet 15A Rack PDU

The 1582H6A1SBK is a 1U, 19-inch rack mount basic PDU that distributes 15A single-phase power to six front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets. It is built for IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment needs clean, switched power with surge suppression at the rack, and where cord and outlet access from the front of the unit is preferred.

Power comes in through an integral 6 ft moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade cord using heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT wire rated for extreme temperature ranges. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload, and a lighted on/off rocker power switch controls the whole strip. A surge indicator light on the front confirms the surge module is active; the internal protection disconnects the surge module at the end of its useful life and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Surge performance is rated at 1080 Joules maximum energy with a 500V Voltage Protection Rating (VPR) in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G), 5kA nominal discharge current and 25000 Amp-rated MOVs for 75,000 Amps of single-pulse transient current.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 3.7 lbs (1.68 kg). Front and back are black painted steel in a textured black powder coat finish that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
