The 1557HGY is a light gray (RAL7035) ABS watertight enclosure in the low profile 1557H size: 200 mm x 200 mm x 45 mm (7.87 in x 7.87 in x 1.77 in). It is aimed at designers and installers who want a wide, shallow indoor housing for circuit boards and control electronics in a neutral gray finish.
The body and lid are general purpose ABS rated UL94-HB. The ABS version is for indoor use and is not UL listed, but has been tested to and meets IP66, with an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). Its two piece tongue and groove lid compresses a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, held down by four M4 stainless steel screws threaded into corrosion resistant bushings.
The interior measures 191.02 mm x 191.02 mm with 38.80 mm (1.53 in) of inside height, and PC boards up to 187 mm x 187 mm mount on bosses accepting #6 self-tapping screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). The 1557HGY ships in shrink wrap at 0.89 lbs (0.40 kg).
Included are four rubber feet for tabletop use and four wall mount feet with screws for heavy duty flange or flush keyhole wall mounting. Pole mount kits PMB110127KIT3 (7 in max) and PMB110127KIT4 (15 in max) are listed for the 1557H profile.
