Hammond 1557HBK 200 x 45 mm Low Profile Black ABS Enclosure

The 1557HBK is the low profile, black ABS member of the 1557H family: a watertight plastic enclosure measuring 200 mm x 200 mm x 45 mm (7.87 in x 7.87 in x 1.77 in). With a large footprint and slim height, it suits flat circuit boards, interface electronics and indoor devices where a thin, tidy housing matters.

It is molded from general purpose ABS with a UL94-HB flammability rating and is intended for indoor use. The ABS version is not UL listed but has been tested to and meets IP66, and it carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). A tongue and groove lid with a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket keeps out oil, dust and water, secured by four M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant bushings.

Inside dimensions are 191.02 mm (7.52 in) square with 38.80 mm (1.53 in) of inside height. PC boards up to 187 mm x 187 mm mount on internal bosses that accept #6 self-tapping screws. Shipping weight is 0.89 lbs (0.40 kg).

The 1557HBK ships with the box, lid, four cover screws, preformed silicone gasket, four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four wall mount foot screws. It can be used on a tabletop or wall mounted either with the feet outward as a heavy duty flange or flush with the feet as keyhole slots. The same 1557HGASKET gasket and 1557HPL aluminum inner panel fit this profile.
