The 1557FA2GY is a light gray (RAL7035 grey) polycarbonate watertight enclosure measuring 6.3 in x 6.3 in x 2.76 in (160 mm x 160 mm x 70 mm). It is the taller of the two 160 mm square heights in the 1557 Series, aimed at designers who need a sealed outdoor-capable housing with room for components that stand well above the board.
Inside you get 151.02 mm [5.95 in] of length and width and 63.80 mm [2.51 in] of height, and the maximum P.C. board size is listed at 147.5 mm x 147.5 mm. Internal bosses accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the lid has M4-0.7 inserts for the stainless steel cover screws.
Polycarbonate gives this model UV stabilization for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listing (file E65324), IK08 impact resistance per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F). A two piece tongue and groove lid with a one piece high temperature silicone gasket protects against oil, dust and water.
