The 1557B2GY is a RAL7035 light gray polycarbonate enclosure in the smallest 1557 size, 80 x 80 x 45 mm. It serves OEM engineers, electricians and integrators who need a small water-tight housing for a circuit board or sensor electronics, indoors or outdoors.
The box measures 3.15 in (80 mm) square with a total height of 1.77 in (45 mm). Inside, the drawing gives 71.30 mm [2.81 in] of length, 71.02 mm [2.80 in] of width and 38.80 mm [1.53 in] of height, and the maximum P.C. board is 70.64 x 70.64 mm. Bosses accept #6 self-tapping screws such as SC526-50, and the 1557BPL aluminum inner panel is available as an accessory.
Its lid is gasketed with a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket in a two piece tongue and groove joint that protects against oil, dust and water. M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts, so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly. The part is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, is cUL and UL 508A listed (file E65324), and polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized, IK08 impact rated per IEC 62262:2021 and recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The 1557B2GY ships with box, lid, 4 cover screws, the preformed silicone gasket, 4 rubber feet, 2 wall mount feet and 2 wall mount foot screws. Mount it on a tabletop, as a heavy duty flange wall mount, or flush using the feet as keyhole slots; PMB5057WKIT1 and PMB5057WKIT2 pole mount kits are listed for poles up to 7" and 15".
