The 1557BA2BK is the 60 mm tall version of the 80 x 80 mm 1557 water-tight enclosure, molded in black UL listed polycarbonate. The extra height over the 45 mm 1557B2BK gives room for taller components, terminal blocks or stacked boards in a small sealed housing for outdoor or harsh locations.
Outside it measures 3.15 x 3.15 x 2.36 in (80 x 80 x 60 mm). The drawing shows an inside length of 71.30 mm [2.81 in], inside width of 71.02 mm [2.80 in] and inside height of 53.80 mm [2.12 in]. The maximum P.C. board size is 70.64 x 70.64 mm, mounted with #6 self-tapping screws, or on the 1557BPL aluminum inner panel.
A one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket seals the two piece tongue and groove lid against oil, dust and water, and the lid is fastened with M4 stainless steel machine screws in corrosion resistant M4-0.7 inserts. The part is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 and is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, IK08 impact rated per IEC 62262:2021, and recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The 1557BA2BK includes box, lid, 4 cover screws, preformed silicone gasket, 4 rubber feet, 2 wall mount feet and 2 wall mount foot screws. It works on a tabletop, as a heavy duty flange wall mount, or flush on a wall using #8 pan head screws (not included); PMB5057WKIT1 and PMB5057WKIT2 pole mount kits are listed for the 1557BA profile.
