The 1556BBK is the low-profile black 1556B enclosure, 3.15 in x 3.15 in x 1.77 in (80 mm x 80 mm x 45 mm). It houses printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics where a slim desktop or wall-mount case is preferred.
Made from flame retardant ABS (UL94 V-0) with a light satin texture and rounded corners, it uses lap joint construction against dust and splashing water and is designed to meet IP54. It is intended for indoor use.
The drawing gives inside dimensions of 74.40 mm [2.93 in] length, 74.18 mm [2.92 in] width and 40.00 mm [1.57 in] height. Boards up to 71 mm x 71 mm mount on bosses in the lid and base with #6 self-tapping screws (recommended 42-56 ozf-in, 30-40 cN-m), or on the optional 1556BPL aluminum inner panel.
The assembly includes box, lid, four #6 x 1/2" Plastite cover screws and four rubber feet, shrink wrapped at 0.16 lbs (0.07 kg). Wall mounting uses the black 1556FOOTBK-4 kit for flange or flush keyhole configurations, and pole mounting uses PMB5057WKIT1 (7" max.) or PMB5057WKIT2 (15" max.).
