The 1555X2GY is a large-footprint 1555 Series enclosure measuring 300 x 200 x 90 mm (11.81 x 7.87 x 3.54 in) nominal. Molded from UV stabilized light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate, it gives outdoor and industrial projects room for larger PC boards and DIN rail rows.
It is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, rated IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and uses UL94-5VA material with a recommended range of -40°C to +110°C.
The drawing gives overall dimensions of 299.33 x 199.55 x 89.80 mm, an inside length of 289.09 mm and an inside height of 79.32 mm, and the part page lists a maximum P.C. board of 185 x 285 mm. Inside the box, four M3 brass inserts and ten positions accepting #8 self-tapping screws support boards or the 1554XPL steel inner panel, which fits in the box or lid.
The lid is secured by six self captivating M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts, torqued to 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m), and seals on a one piece silicone gasket supplied loose. Wall-mounting holes (4X 4.39 mm) are outside the gasket channel; this size uses the 1554FT-XY foot kit and the 1554XGASKET replacement gasket. Shipping weight is 2.39 lbs (1.08 kg).
