The 1555VAGY is a general purpose ABS enclosure from the 1555 Series, sized 240 x 160 x 90 mm (9.45 x 6.30 x 3.54 in) and finished in light gray RAL 7035. It suits OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who need an indoor, watertight housing for printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components.
The lid uses two piece tongue and groove construction with a one piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket that is supplied loose inside the enclosure. Six M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; the screws are self captivating and the lid holes are threaded on first installation. Recommended cover screw torque is 85 - 92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m).
Inside, the 1555VAGY offers roughly 231.29 x 147.29 mm of floor space and 80.80 mm of height, with molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm P.C. boards. Maximum P.C. board size is 145.5 x 226.82 mm, and the 1554VAPL steel inner panel (ordered separately) fits in the box or the lid.
The ABS version is not UL listed but has been tested to IP66, carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a UL94-HB flammability rating, and is recommended for -20°C to +60°C indoors. Four 4.50 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. For UL 508A listing and outdoor ratings, the polycarbonate twin is 1555VA2GY.
