The 1555NF17GY is the general purpose ABS version of the shallow 1555NF enclosure: a square, light grey (RAL7035) watertight box with mounting flanges. It is designed for indoor electronics, such as control and security boards, where an IP66 seal is needed without UL listing.
The ABS material has a UL94 HB rating and an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. ABS versions are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, and are specified for indoor use at -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
The part page lists 4.7 x 4.7 x 1.47 in (119 x 119 x 37 mm); the series table lists 120 x 115 x 38 mm, not including flanges. The drawing shows 160.79 mm overall across the flanges, 4X Ø5.00 mm mounting holes, a 17.70 mm inner box depth and 12.00 mm inner lid depth. Boards up to 106.85 x 107.7 mm fit, and the shipping weight is 0.3 lbs (0.14 kg).
The 1555NF17GY lid uses tongue and groove construction with a one-piece silicone gasket (supplied loose) and M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts. Eight standoffs for #4 self-tapping screws, DIN rail tabs in the lid and the optional 1555NFPL steel panel support many layouts. The polycarbonate equivalent is 1555N2F17GY.
