Hammond 1555N2F17GY 120x115x38 mm Polycarbonate Flanged NEMA Enclosure

The 1555N2F17GY is the shallow, UL listed polycarbonate enclosure in the square-format 1555NF size. A RAL7035 light grey, watertight box with a flanged base, it is made for wall-mounted outdoor wireless, security and control electronics built on roughly square circuit boards.

The polycarbonate is UV stabilized with a UL94 5VA flame rating. The part page lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and the series states polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 with an IK08 impact rating; the drawing marking for this size reads NEMA 4, 4X.

The part page lists 4.7 x 4.7 x 1.47 in (119 x 119 x 37 mm), while the series table gives 120 x 115 x 38 mm, not including flanges. The drawing shows 160.79 mm overall with flanges and 4X Ø5.00 mm holes at 140.79 mm spacing. Inside, the box is 17.70 mm deep and the lid 12.00 mm, and PC boards up to 106.85 x 107.7 mm fit. Shipping weight is 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg).

Eight Ø2.25 mm standoffs take #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100), DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid, and the 1555NFPL steel inner panel can be added. The 1555N2F17GY lid closes with four M4 stainless screws into corrosion resistant inserts over a loose-supplied silicone gasket.
