The 1555EF17GY is a low-profile, square ABS enclosure from the 1555F Series for indoor electronics that still need a sealed, gasketed housing. Its flanged base is designed for wall mounting, making it a practical choice for OEM builders and panel shops housing small PC boards, controls or DIN rail modules.
It is molded from general purpose ABS with a UL94-HB flammability rating in a satin RAL7035 grey finish. Although not UL listed, the ABS version has been tested to and meets IP66 and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. Recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
The 1555EF17GY measures 3.54 x 3.54 x 1.50 in (90 x 90 x 38 mm) without flanges and 130.00 mm across the flanges per the drawing. The base is 17.56 mm deep inside and the lid 12.50 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs in the lid and standoffs for #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100) support a PC board up to 78 x 78 mm or the separately sold 1555EFPL galvanized steel inner panel.
The lid seals with a one-piece silicone gasket in a two-piece tongue and groove joint; the gasket is supplied loose. Four included M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts behind the lid, with 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m) recommended. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
