The 1554YAGY is a general purpose ABS enclosure measuring 300 x 240 x 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in) in light gray RAL 7035. It is the deep YA size of the 1554 series, with 111.75 mm (4.40 in) of inside height on the drawing, and suits indoor projects where OEMs and electricians need a sealed plastic housing for circuit boards or DIN rail components but do not need UL listing.
ABS versions are molded from a general purpose material rated UL94-HB. They have been tested to and meet IP66 and carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F), and the enclosure is intended for indoor use. The 1554YAGY is RoHS and REACH compliant.
The lid uses the same sealing system as the polycarbonate models: two-piece tongue and groove construction with a replaceable one-piece gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, supplied loose inside the enclosure. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts. The recommended torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).
The enclosure takes a PC board up to 285 x 225 mm. Internal mounting includes 4 M3 brass inserts and 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, with molded card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs. Pair it with the 1554YPL steel inner panel or the 1554FT-XY foot kit. Shipping weight is 2.79 lbs (1.27 kg). For outdoor or UL 508A applications, the polycarbonate equivalent is 1554YA2GY.
