Hammond 1554WGY 180x180x60 mm Low-Profile ABS Enclosure, Gray

1554WGY is the shallow, 60 mm tall square enclosure in the 1554 Series, molded in light gray (RAL 7035) general purpose ABS. It gives indoor electronics projects a gasketed, screw-cover watertight housing with a lower profile than the 90 mm 1554WA size, and it suits printed circuit boards and DIN rail mounted components.

The size is 180 x 180 x 60 mm (7.09 x 7.09 x 2.36 in); the drawing shows an overall height of 60.10 mm and inside dimensions of 172.36 mm length, 168.69 mm width and 53.70 mm height. The manufacturer's short description reads "160X160X60MM ABS NEMA ENCL.", while the size field, ordering table and drawing all give 180 x 180 x 60 mm. Maximum PC board size is 167 x 167.5 mm.

Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical 1.5 mm card guides are built in, and the 1554WPL steel inner panel can be ordered separately. The lid closes with four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant bushings over a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket in a tongue and groove joint; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

As an ABS version, 1554WGY uses UL94-HB material for indoor use, is not UL listed, has been tested to and meets IP66 and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. Recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C. Four 4.30 mm wall mounting holes outside the gasket channel also take the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.95 lb (0.43 kg).
