The 1554WA2GYCL is a square, screw-cover watertight enclosure from the 1554 Series, pairing a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate box with a clear polycarbonate lid so indicators, displays or status LEDs stay visible without opening the unit. It suits OEM engineers, integrators and electricians housing printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components in wet or dusty locations.
Nominal size is 180 x 180 x 90 mm (7.09 x 7.09 x 3.54 in). The drawing gives an inside length of 171.32 mm, inside width of 168.38 mm and inside height of 83.70 mm, with room for a PC board up to 167 x 167.5 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards give several internal mounting options; a 1554WPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
The lid seals on a one-piece, replaceable high temperature silicone gasket in a two piece tongue and groove joint, and is held by four included M4 stainless steel screws that thread into corrosion resistant bushings. The screws are self-captivating; the gasket ships loose inside the enclosure. Recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).
Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, rated IP66, IP67 and IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, carry an IK08 impact rating and are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The part page lists a UL94 V-0 flame rating for 1554WA2GYCL and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. Four 4.30 mm wall mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit.
