Hammond 1554VBGY 240x160x120mm Gray Abs IP66 Watertight Enclosure

The 1554VBGY is the general purpose ABS model of the deep 240 x 160 x 120 mm size, molded in light gray (RAL 7035) with a gray ABS lid. It is intended for indoor use where installers and OEMs need a sealed, screw cover housing with room for taller DIN rail devices or board stacks.

The ordering table lists 9.45 x 6.30 x 4.72 in (240 x 160 x 120 mm) and the part page gives a nominal 239 x 160 x 119 mm (9.4 x 6.3 x 4.7 in). The drawing shows inside dimensions of 230.24 x 146.24 x 113.30 mm, and PC boards up to 145.5 x 226.82 mm can be installed on molded card guides, M3 brass inserts or #6 self-tapping standoffs. DIN rail tabs are molded in, and the 1554VAPL steel inner panel is available separately.

General purpose ABS carries a UL94-HB flammability rating. ABS versions are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, have an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).

The tongue and groove lid closes on a replaceable silicone gasket, shipped loose, using six included self-captivating stainless steel M4 screws in corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). Four 4.50 mm wall mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554VBGY ships shrink wrapped at 1.15 lbs (0.52 kg), RoHS and REACH compliant.
