The 1554VB2GYSL is a deep light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate enclosure with a smoked polycarbonate lid, giving a tinted window onto internal indicators in a 240 x 160 x 120 mm package. Integrators and OEM builders use this size where DIN rail devices or stacked boards need more height than the shallower models allow.
Ordering dimensions are 9.45 x 6.30 x 4.72 in (240 x 160 x 120 mm), with a part page nominal size of 239 x 160 x 119 mm (9.4 x 6.3 x 4.7 in). The drawing gives inside dimensions of 230.24 x 146.24 x 113.30 mm. Internal features include molded DIN rail tabs, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards, M3 brass inserts and #6 self-tapping standoffs, with a maximum board size of 145.5 x 226.82 mm.
The smoked lid is rated UL94 V-0. As a polycarbonate version it is UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under E65324 (drawing mark UL Listed Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P), and tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It carries IK08 impact per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C.
Six self-captivating stainless steel M4 screws, included, thread into corrosion resistant inserts and should be torqued to 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). The silicone gasket ships loose inside. Four 4.50 mm holes outside the gasket channel allow wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. Accessories include the 1554VAPL inner panel and SC583-50 screws. The 1554VB2GYSL weighs 1.35 lbs (0.61 kg) shipped.
