The 1554UAGY is the general purpose ABS version of the 200 x 120 x 60 mm size in the 1554 family. Its light gray (RAL 7035) body and matching gray lid make it an option for indoor electronics, controls and DIN rail components where a sealed, screw-cover box is needed but UL listing and outdoor UV resistance are not.
ABS versions are molded from general purpose material rated UL94-HB and are intended for indoor use. They are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, and carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. Recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
The lid seals with a two piece tongue and groove design and a replaceable one-piece gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, which is supplied loose. Four included M4 stainless steel machine screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts in the lid. Inside, there is 192.47 x 112.47 mm of floor area and 53.60 mm of height, with a maximum P.C. board size of 190.5 x 106.6 mm.
Mounting options include molded DIN rail tabs, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards and M3 brass inserts that accept #6 self-tapping screws; the 1554UPL steel inner panel is available separately. The 1554UAGY has four Ø4.30 mm wall mounting holes outside the gasket channel, compatible with the 1554FT foot kit, and a shipping weight of 0.7 lbs (0.32 kg).
