The 1554R2GYSL is the smoked-lid version of the 160 x 160 x 61 mm (6.3 x 6.3 x 2.4 in) polycarbonate 1554 enclosure. A tinted polycarbonate lid sits on a light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate box, letting status lights show through for OEM products, sensors and controllers mounted outdoors.
It is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, UV stabilized for outdoor use, rated IP68 and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The smoked lid is rated UL94 V-0, the impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The flat lid seals with a tongue and groove joint and a one-piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, supplied loose. Four M4 stainless steel machine screws are included, thread into corrosion resistant bushings for repeated access, and should be torqued to 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m).
Inside dimensions per the drawing are 152.91 x 148.91 mm with 54.00 mm of height, for boards up to 147.4 x 150.95 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and 1.5 mm card guides are provided, and the 1554RPL steel inner panel is optional. The 1554R2GYSL mounts through four 4.00 mm holes outside the gasket or with the 1554FT foot kit, and ships at 0.82 lbs (0.37 kg).
