The 1554R2GY is a 6.3 x 6.3 x 2.4 in (160 x 160 x 61 mm) polycarbonate enclosure with a solid light gray RAL 7035 box and lid. It gives integrators and OEM engineers a square, low-profile housing with generous board space for control electronics or DIN rail components in outdoor, wet or dusty locations.
Solid gray polycarbonate carries a UL94 5VA flame rating, and the enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. It is UV stabilized for outdoor use, rated IP68, and polycarbonate versions are independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating and a recommended range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Inside there is 152.91 x 148.91 mm of floor space and 54.00 mm of height per the drawing, enough for a PC board up to 147.4 x 150.95 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and 1.5 mm card guides offer flexible layouts, and the 1554RPL steel inner panel can be added.
The tongue and groove lid seals with a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose and is fastened with four included M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts, torqued to 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also fit the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.82 lbs (0.37 kg).
