Hammond 1554MPB20 20-Hole 22.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Enclosure

With 20 holes for 22.5 mm push buttons, pilot lights and selector switches, the 1554MPB20 is the highest-count enclosure in the 1554 PB series ordering table. It lets controls engineers put a complete operator interface into one sealed polycarbonate box for outdoor, wet or dusty locations. The size is available with 22 mm holes only.

The enclosure is based on the 1554Y body and measures 11.81 in H x 9.45 in W x 3.74 in D with lid (300 x 240 x 95 mm). It ships at 2.81 lbs (1.27 kg). The optional 1554YPL galvanized 16 ga. steel inner panel measures 11.22 x 8.86 in (285 x 225 mm) and includes mounting hardware; 1554FT mounting feet are also available.

It is molded in light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate carrying a UL94 5VA flammability rating, suitable for outdoor use. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings, with a recommended torque of 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m), and the lid seals on a replaceable, preformed high temperature silicone gasket. Lid and mounting holes are outside the gasket seal. The base includes internal DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and molded card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards.

The series carries IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 ratings; the 1554MPB20 drawing shows the cUL US Listed mark under file E65324 and UL 508A approval for the polycarbonate version. It ships with box, lid, 6 cover screws and gasket, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
