The 1554D2GYSL is the smoked-lid option in the 1554 size D polycarbonate range: a light gray RAL 7035 box at 4.72 x 2.56 x 2.40 in (120 x 65 x 61 mm) with a tinted polycarbonate lid. It is a fit for designers who want internal indicators or displays visible through a darker cover.
Its polycarbonate construction is UV stabilized for outdoor use. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed (file E65324) and independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The smoked lid carries a UL94 V-0 flame rating, the impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws, included, secure the lid into corrosion resistant inserts for repeated access; recommended torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m). A two-piece tongue and groove joint and a one-piece high temperature silicone gasket, supplied loose, protect against oil, dust and water.
Internal space is 112.91 x 53.91 mm with 54.50 mm height. Mount a PC board of up to 52.83 x 110.49 mm on the M3 brass inserts or #6 self-tapping standoffs, or slide 1.5 mm boards into the molded card guides; size D has no DIN rail tabs. Two 4 mm wall-mounting holes outside the gasket also accept the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight of the 1554D2GYSL is 0.35 lbs (0.16 kg).
