The 1554D2GY is a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate watertight enclosure in the 1554 size D footprint, 4.72 x 2.56 x 2.40 in (120 x 65 x 61 mm). With a solid gray polycarbonate lid, it is aimed at integrators and OEM designers who need a small, outdoor-capable box for PCBs and control electronics.
The polycarbonate is UV stabilized for outdoor use and the solid gray material carries a UL94-5VA rating. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); the manufacturer advises testing for suitability in your specific application.
A two-piece tongue and groove lid with a one-piece high temperature silicone gasket (supplied loose) keeps out oil, dust and water. Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m). Inside you have 112.91 x 53.91 mm and 54.50 mm of height, with M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and 1.5 mm card guides. Size D does not include DIN rail tabs.
Two 4 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and double as the attachment for the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554CPL steel inner panel, 1554CGASKET gasket and SC576-50 screws are available as accessories. Shipping weight of the 1554D2GY is 0.35 lbs (0.16 kg).
