The 1553BTBUBKBAT is the translucent blue ABS version of the 1553B battery enclosure, with a black soft plastic overmold and a battery door and compartment. It fits battery-powered handheld products where a tinted, see-through body adds visual appeal, such as consumer electronics or showcase prototypes.
Overall dimensions are 4.62 x 3.11 x 0.95 in (117 x 79 x 24 mm). The ordering table sets the maximum P.C. board at 78 x 67 mm (3.07 x 2.64 in); the drawing shows the board outline at 78.18 x 67.00 mm and an inner box 110.24 mm long, 71.02 mm wide at center and 18.50 mm high. The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad, and PCB bosses are molded into the bottom cover.
Each 1553BTBUBKBAT includes top, bottom, a removable front plastic panel, battery door, 4 battery spring clips (for 2x AA), a 9V (PP3) adapter and 2 cover screws. The P.C. board is not supplied. General purpose ABS construction carries a UL94 HB flame rating, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg).
Replacement lid screws are black 1593QS100BK; PCB screws (1593ATS50/1593ATS100), matching translucent blue end panels (1553BPLTBU-10), the BS61 9V battery kit and the 1553HDR-BKIT AA clip kit are listed. Recommended cover torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).
