The 1553BGYBAT is the grey battery-door model of the 1553B soft-sided hand held enclosure, with a grey ABS body and grey soft overmold. It serves product teams building portable, battery-operated instruments that call for a neutral finish.
Size per the part page is 4.62 x 3.11 x 0.95 in (117 x 79 x 24 mm). The battery compartment in the bottom limits the maximum P.C. board to 78 x 67 mm (3.07 x 2.64 in) per the ordering table; the drawing shows the board outline at 78.18 x 67.00 mm. Inner box length is 110.24 mm and inner height 18.50 mm, and PCB bosses are molded into the bottom cover. The top cover is recessed to receive a membrane display or keypad.
Included are the top, bottom, a removable front plastic panel, battery door, 4 battery spring clips for 2x AA cells, a 9V (PP3) adapter and 2 cover screws. Gray 1553 enclosures include nickel plated screws. The P.C. board is not supplied. The case is general purpose ABS, UL94 HB, RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink wrapped at 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).
The silver 1593QS100 pack replaces lid screws. PCB screws (1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100), a 1599CLIPGY grey belt or pocket clip, the BS61 9V battery kit and the 1553HDR-BKIT AA clip kit are sold separately. Cover screw torque: 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).
