At 100 x 50 x 24 mm, the 1551WYGY is the longest and deepest size in the 1551W watertight miniature enclosure series. This light gray version has no flanges and suits designers who need a slim, sealed housing for a longer, narrow circuit board, indoors or out.
Molded from robust polycarbonate with a satin texture finish, the enclosure carries a UL94 V-0 flame rating. Its replaceable silicone gasket protects against ingress of water or dust, it is designed to meet IP68, and the series is suitable for outdoor use.
The body is 100 mm (3.94 in) long, 50 mm (1.97 in) wide and 24 mm (0.94 in) deep including the lid, a little deeper than the 22 mm 1551W sizes. Molded-in PC board standoffs accept #2 self-tapping screws and a board up to 94.5 mm long by 44.5 mm wide. Recommended torque is 21-28 ozf.in (15-20 cN.m) on #2 internal screws and 71-100 ozf.in (50-70 cN.m) on the #4 cover screws.
The purchased assembly includes box, lid, gasket and four #4 plastite self-tapping cover screws. Alternatives in the same size are 1551WYBK (other colour) and 1551WYFLGY (with flanges); replacement gaskets are 1551WYGASKET (2-pack). RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
