Hammond 1551WXGY 80x80x22mm Square Watertight Enclosure, Gray

The 1551WXGY is the largest square size in the 1551W watertight miniature enclosure series: an 80 x 80 x 22 mm light gray polycarbonate box without flanges. It offers room for a square board of up to 74.5 x 74.5 mm while keeping a slim 22 mm profile, making it a practical choice for designers of compact outdoor or sealed electronic products.

The enclosure is molded from robust polycarbonate with a satin texture finish, and the polycarbonate is flame rated UL94 V-0. Between box and lid is a replaceable silicone gasket that protects against ingress of water or dust; the design is intended to meet IP68 and the series is suitable for outdoor use.

Outside it measures 80 mm (3.15 in) by 80 mm (3.15 in), with a depth of 22 mm (0.87 in) including the lid. PC board standoffs are molded into the interior and accept #2 self-tapping screws, tightened to 21-28 ozf.in (15-20 cN.m). The lid closes with four included #4 plastite self-tapping screws at 71-100 ozf.in (50-70 cN.m).

The 1551WXGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.12 lbs (0.05 kg), and the factory can mill, drill or print it on request.
